Well, first of all, "our own image" can be taken many ways. It can many physically, spiritually, emotionally, behaviorally, etc. Secondly, remember that God is the one who said that. Is God black skinned, white faced, wooly haired, slant eyed? That leads me to believe He didn't mean physically. Finally, remember that things change over time. Being a history buff, I've read that not too many centuries ago, it was unusual for a man to be much over 5 feet tall. Just because there's such a wide variety of people today doesn't mean all those variations were there in the beginning.

There was that whole village that appeared out of nowhere with cain and abel. Anyway, the garden of eden may have evolved from the egyptian legend of atlantis. A ma;e and female of each of the four races lived on the island of atlants, but they sinned horribly so their god sunk the island. The four couples then fled in different dirrections and became established. Then when it traveled north the small kingdoms that existed simplified it by making only two instead of 8.

Maybe you should read the Bible a bit more and go to Church and get educated before you make any more silly comments like that. They probably were black but different skin colours came along due to where people lived-their skin colour adapted to the place. And no, they probably were only able to speak 1 language as more languages came about when God punished people for their sins.

How about this theory; God created an earlier species of man that slowly evolved to what you see today. But it's only a theory.
