There's faith that knows itself as faith, my friends, and there's faith that confuses itself for knowledge. The first embraces uncertainty, acknowledges the uncertainty and mysteriousness of God. It begets compassion and tolerance. Who can entirely condemn when they're not entirely sure they're in the right? But the second, the second embraces certainty and only pays lip service to God's mystery. It begets intolerance, hatred, violence, Holy Wars.
Where do you believe your faith lies?

For those who scorn me as unfaithful please less of the scorn and share what you believe is Faith for you. And this question is about forms of faith not about the existence of God.
Thanks

Whatever it takes-you should not put so much of yourself in any one person. I am no substitute for God and though my words may have had too much of an affect on your life i pray and hope that you rediscover faith in yourself, faith in people and faith in the world in time. These things could never have been restored to you if the faith you had in me drowned out all else. That is why you must hate me now and that is why i endure it with compassion and acceptance.
I am sorry. It is for the best.

Faith is such a personal subjective thing. It stems from what you feel to be true from your inner workings. Sometimes, I am forced to dig very deep to find a solution that works for me…and then share it in the hope it mirrors what someone may also feel. So much of what I share comes from a place deep inside me. It challenges me and promotes further exploration. It is from this place I often find my sense of peace.

Religious dogma however, seems to confine, restrict possibility. I find it very limiting, and it often becomes the antithesis to what we are taught. To believe this is “all there is” can be equally limiting in reverse. One only need to look inside to know there exists a greater purpose than what is physically manifested.

I believe we are all born with an inherent knowledge that is as unique to us as there are individuals. It is designed this way to promote unity in truth. My truth may not be your truth, but when combined forms yet another truth…and leads to true enlightenment. It is a learning, growing process that never ends. It then contributes to a mass consciousness that can be tapped into for further insight. This then provides us with only the most minuscule concept of God.

most people confuse faith with religion. that is where the error lies. man's loyalty to religion over his own faith drives hatred due to differences in their religious foundations.

my faith lies in the former. one of the main reasons im not an atheist is that i don't fully believe that man can comprehend everything. God is too wonderful (the essence of the word) to be made comprehensible by a single mind. for me, every religion has its own truth to share so that we may see the bigger picture.

but at some point religion is correct. there has to be boundaries where one may allow his fellow men to trample him and there has to be an end line in it. i mean, if those are the basic foundations of your faith, then no-one, i repeat, no-one has the right to step on it. but the problem is that religions today are so twisted that you have to go to its roots to know the truth. men try to impose their own rules for the sake of religion. that is so sad. and these rules they impose, they preach it to the weaker being thus making the possibility of suicide bombings and life-destroying activities possible. again, the slave and the master. the deceived and the deceiver.

Well mate, looks like you have found the secret to this mystery. Just have faith and press on. You will get to the bottom of it all and you need not prove your case anymore. Faith is a spiritual thing, and is only assessible thru the inner space of our soul. Like they say the dew of God;s grace cannot fall on a restless soul.

Well, put.
I tend to agree with you on this one. There is so much of God that is unknown, and to pretend you understand him and everything he does and everything he wants you to do is really just blasphemy. We can try to be good and just and righteous, lead our lives in a good way, choosing the harder path to take.
Putting your faith in God is enpowering and feels right. Putting all of your faith in a religion can be horrible and make you intolerant of others who strive to do the same as you through other religions.

Well there is certainty in God. The Bible reveals His character. As far as intolerant, hatred and the rest. that is not me.
As for knowing if I am right, I know what I know, what I know. And I know there is a God and Jesus is my Lord and Saviour.

Your faith lies in the Bible accounts of individuals who truly relied on their faith in Jehovah and his son Jesus to accomplish the requests asked of them. You can see the faith in Noah, Abraham, Ruth etc. In fact, go the the Bible book of Hebrews chapter 11 and read about these individuals who by their faith overcame all obstacles to serve their God, Jehovah. Jesus was of course the true model for us to follow in faith. Reflect on all they did and your faith will be strengthened in knowing that whatever God promises will come true. They had what it takes to have true faith in all his promises for them. They were blessed for it and so will we when the promise of everlasting life on a paradise earth will be a reality.

God is the author of truth, and I follow God and accept His son Jesus as my savior. Praise the Lord. Satan is the author of confusion.
