There were no Christians before Jesus. They were either Jews or members of other religions, some monotheistic and some not.
Before Mohamed, many people in now-Muslim lands were Christians, including those in Egypt, Syria, and modern-day Iraq. There was probably more Hebrew conversion to Christianity than to Islam, but overall, I see no evidence of a mass conversion to either faith by the Jewish people. Intermarriage? Yes. Mass conversion? No. As far as Arab conversion to Islam? No doubt some were Christians already. However, Arabs of Mohamed's day were not necessarily monotheistic; some were idol worshipers. And many non-Middle Eastern people who converted to Islam followed many other religions. Armenians are considered to be among the first Christians who came about via mass conversion -- and virtually no Jews lived among them.

Well you would have to define the following:
1. What is a Jew or Yehudi? It is actually a family history in which all jews share a common ancestry back to Issac and Jacob. Thus to be JEW is more to do with lineage and not religion.
2. Jesus was a Jew and sent to the jews to clean up their act, but they rejected him... i.e. they are still jews today who do not believe in jesus at all, they are infact still waiting for the promised Messiah.
3. Muslims were mainly arab in the beginning as was Muhammad and almost 100% followed their family Idol and were like the Pagans before them (i.e. Greeks and Romans).
So... Looking at it... The Jews are descendants from Issac and Jacob... Moses was a jewish be did not start the ancestory or religion.
It you are SMART to some RESEARCH and find out why Moses was supposedly sent, then John the Baptist... then Jesus and then Muhammad... You will see an interesting Pattern that will change your life if you are SINCERE!!

You are seriously Wrong. Apparently you are a teen, so I will cut you some slack, but you missed the truth by a long shot kid. Christians are people who before being such were muslims, jews, pagans, athiests, etc....... Before Jesus came down to the Earth there weren't Christians, but the Hebrews are God's chosen people. Before islam came about, a lot of people were pagans and had many false gods. But you would have to study and read to learn this. Muhammud came up with a false religion and used the old persian demon god allah to unite the desert people to start a jihad of sorts to try to grab up part of what was once the Roman Empire. Many cultures and people were doing this. Read ancient world history, its pretty cool and might help keep you from getting suckered into believing in a false religion that is really pretty stupid to start with. You get virgins in Heaven for killing infidels? PUUUHHHHLLLEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Well before and before they were most likely poly-theistic groups of nomads. Before that they feared the bright lights at night that brought on loud sounds. Before that they were not very much like us now at all.
So let us not go back in time. Let us all realize that changing another persons religion is stupid. So forget about it.
But if you read the Koran. 10% of the first two books talk about how non-believers will be punished in the worst possible ways by a kind and merciful Alah. 10% of the time telling people they better believe in him or else. You have got to love the religion.

Man you have problems...Christians were Jews before they became Christians..But Muslim's were from many different religons...some of the very first were idol-worshippers, some christians and many belonged to different religons, least of which were the jews. So first find the facts before you give a dum suggetion such as this one.....

Jesus was Jewish. Christianity was originally a new sect of Judaism so most of the early converts were Jewish.
Prior to Mohammed their were several different Arabic tribes (usually referred to as Bedouins). Mohammed was from the Quraysh tribe. Naturally most of the early converts to Islam were from this and the other Bedouin tribes.
