that depends. can u handle the criticism you may receive. i think you should go to another african american female at your job who is in upper management and get her advice.

I'm a Polish,English,Indian,Czech American and would see absolutely nothing wrong with the extensions if they were well kept. If white people can wear long hair, then why can't African Americans? It's the same to me.

I would think it would be appropriate as long as the style does not interfere with working. Having beads or blonde streaks braided in might be a little too much.

I can't see why that would be seen as unprofessional. I've seen many women with braided extensions and I've always thought it looked really nice.

Why not? Just make sure you have a general style. Meaning no zig-zag part , etc. keep it basic and you will have versatility for work and off time. Like micros, pixies, etc. wear in a bun during work hours.

Yes.....why ever not? If it makes the person feel better she could always tie them back while at work. And besides, I should think any employer who complained about it might find himself in a bit of trouble with racist and sexist legislation.
