If it is affecting you in any negative way, and I include self image in that, then get it removed.
If it's not a problem then leave it.

I think any dermatologist could give you a good idea of whether or not it should be removed. He or she may be able to do it right in their office, sometimes using a spray cannister containing a freezing substance that causes the roots to die off over a period of time. Check it out. Wynterwood another answerer suggested a further step to identify a cancer and she is totally correct.

it truly is how they took mine off: They numb the section with a close-by injection. Then, they take an tool that appears like a straw and positioned it over the mole and push and twist till they think of they are deep sufficient. Like reducing out cookies. next, they take tweezers elevate up the piece they only made and snip it off with scissors. ultimately, they stitch it up i'm thinking there is different procedures too.

You can have a dermatologist remove it right in office (no need for a plastic surgeon), and while you're doing that, have it biopsied just to be on the safe side.

If you are uncomfortable with the look of it, have it removed, besides better safe than sorry. Rather remove it and find out its not cancerous than leave it go and find out years down the road it it cancer.

Don't waste your money on a plastic surgeon...just see a dermatologist. He or she will know which procedure (laser, cutting, burning, etc.) is best. Good luck!

If it bothers you enough, yes. Also, moles can be pre-cancerous, so this isn't such a bad idea. Go for it if it makes you feel better.

leave it for now. It should be removed if your doctor says that it might be cancerous. But most doctors and sugeons want money.
