A man and his son are driving down the road when all of the sudden they are struck in the side by another car. Roughly five minutes later emergency personnel arrive at the scene.
Having extracted the man and his son they are transported to the emergency room. After arriving at the hospital they are separated and taken to different operating rooms. Once the son is prepped for surgery the surgeon enters the room. Upon laying eyes on the victim the surgeon proceeds to say;
“I cannot operate on this victim, he is my son.”

The first time I heard that joke was on All in The Family. Archie and Mike were wracking their brains for the answer. That was in the '70's. I think we're all more enlightened now but I suppose there are still people who don't know the answer.
