My mother doesn't know she has Stage 4 liver cancer. My mother is a 'worrier' - she worries too much. What is the best possible way to tell her without making her depress and thus give up?

The doctors here in Singapore are English speaking. My mother doesn't speak English. So whatever it is, the doctors will have to go through me to get to her. My mother is staying with me.

This is a very unfortunate and difficult situation you're in right now. But the only way to do it is by telling her the sad truth. What happens after is the hardest part, just help her deal with it and usually, the family's love and support will make the burden easier to bear for everyone. Assure her that you love her and make yourself available for her, if possible, all the time. I pray that you'll be able to bear this situation. God bless.

Oh dear me you know child, yr mum probably knows in her heart that she is very sick, but is keeping a brave front as she feels u do not know, sit with her on a beautiful morning, tell her all the qualities you admire in her and most of all her strength and ask her if there is anything she wud do fr you if u shuld just ask,,, and then tell her that she has cancer and you want her to fight it and togther youll can beat it.You are in my prayers.

How is it that you know this before she does. ARE YOU A doctor? If her doctor told YOU that your mom has cancer he/she screwed up UNLESS you have power of attorney over her medical affairs. But to get right to your question, Sit down with her and tell her, mom you got cancer.
And how is it she don't know but your asking about Chemo for her?

That is sad and very hard. There is no easy way, you just have to do it. Then pray with all your heart for healing, if it is Gods will. Shower her with love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
