It can help - I do not think it will cure,
Garlic (Allium sativum) and Onion (Allium cepa)
Part Used: Cloves
Uses: Garlic and its relative, the onion (Allium cepa) help reduce blood glucose levels. These plants contain sulfur compounds that have chemical structures similar to those of insulin, and these compounds-allicin and allyl propyl disulphide-are believed to lower glucose levels. Garlic is a wide acting natural antibiotic that helps prevent all kinds of diseases. As an antibiotic it can kill infecting bacteria and at the same time protect the body from the poisons that are causing the infection. It is known that the most sensitive bacterium to garlic is the deadly Bacillus anthracis which produces the poison anthrax. Garlic and its juice cure all kinds of diseases, bronchitis, tuberculosis, herpes virus, candida, mycobacteria, yeast organisms, antifungal, antiparasitic, kidney infections, gall, obesity, hydrophobia, eczema, skin diseases, melancholy, hysteria, rheumatism, heart diseases, fear, climatic periods, asthma, aids and others. New research shows that taking garlic during pregnancy can cut the risk of pre-eclampsia (raised blood pressure and protein in urine). Studies also reveal that garlic may help boost the birth-weight of babies destined to be too small. Garlic also lowers cholesterol, triglyceride, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels while increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels. Garlic is available in powder, tablet, capsules, and liquid. Fresh uncooked garlic is the best way to reap its benefits.
Dose: One clove 3x a day; or one-half teaspoon of the juice 3x daily after eating. Take commercial products according to package directions. If the infection is gone dosage can be reduced for maintenance of well being and health.

Garlic is good for the body in many ways, but nothing cures kidney stones once they have developed. Some pass easily, others are painful to pass, and some don't pass at all. Maybe garlic helps to prevent the development of stones, though I wouldn't call that a cure.

Acually once you have the stones there is nothing you can do to cure them. If you tend to suffer kidney stones, see your physician at six-month intervals to make sure there is no permanent damage to your kidneys. If you have an attack of renal colic, your Dr. will probably refer you to a hospital for blood and urine tests and a intravenous pyleogram (IVP). Such diagnostic tests will help locate stones, if there are any, and also will indicate whether further treatment is necessary.
It is always wisest to consult your physician if you have an attack of renal colic. But you should also drink large quantities of water-at least eight to ten eight-ounce glasses a day. THis should help flush any forming. To relieve pain, you should take a mild anagesic such as aspirin or a stronger medication if you Dr. prescribes one. Talk to your physician maybe there is some medication you can take to help with the forming of your stones. But i would suggest you drink large amounts of water to keep your kidneys flushed. I have had 20+ kidney stones in the last 3 years, so i know what you are going through, they are very very painful.
Good luck.

Home Remedies for Kidney Stones
There really is no cure for kidney stones, you just have to let them pass. There are some things that you can do to ease the pain though:
Basil has a strengthening effect on the kidneys. In case of kidney stones, one teaspoon each of basil juice and honey should be taken daily for six months. It has been found that stones can be expelled from the urinary tract by this treatment.
Celery is a valuable food for those who are prone to getting stones in the kidneys or gall-bladder. Its regular intake prevents future stone formation.
Apples are useful in kidney stones. In countries where the natural unsweetened cider is a common beverage, cases of stones or calculus are practically absent. The ripe fresh fruit is, however, more valuable.
Grapes have an exceptional diuretic value on account of their high contents of water and potassium salt. The value of this fruit in kidney troubles is enhanced by its low albumin and sodium chloride content. It is an excellent cure for kidney stones.

There is nothing you can really do for kidney stones, they must pass on their own. However there are some things that you can do to help ease the pain until that happens.
Drink lots of water, you want to flush out those kidneys, no soda or carbonated drinks at all. You can also benefit by drinking cranberry juice, the real stuff.
Watermelon contains the highest concentration of water amongst all fruits. It is also rich in potassium salts. It is one of the safest and best diuretics which can be used with beneficial results in kidney stones.
Grapes have an exceptional diuretic value on account of their high contents of water and potassium salt. The value of this fruit in kidney troubles is enhanced by its low albumin and sodium chloride content. It is an excellent home remedy for kidney stones
Another helpful remedy of kidney stones is a daily therapeutic dose of 100 to 150 mg of vitamin B, preferably combined with other B complex vitamins. these should be continued on a daily basis to help prevent the recourrance of them.

I'm not sure about Garlic but the following is very beneficial.
This will help to dissolve them.
Go to a health food store and buy a pint of Cranberry concentrate. It is about $17.00 a pint
unsweetened. Cranberry is very acidic.
I add 8 oz to 1 gallon of water (you get two gallons from one pint). But in your case it might
be wise to mix it stronger.
Drink 6 or 8 oz 20 minutes before all meals. Mid morning and mid afternoon and b efore bed.
This comes from the book "THE FAT FLUSH PLAN". It flushes out your kidneys and all poisons in your system. It should assist in dissolving the kidney stones. They are God awful painful, so any simple healthful solution should be worth giving it a try.

Absolutely not.
You need medical treatment. Garlic has many health benefits, but it certainly cannot get rid of kidney stones.
