The 2006 test in Vancouver will be held at the Simon Fraser University Harbour Center Campus. You can refer to the indicated website for more information (please see my source website) about the Japanese language proficiency test.

I can't help you with details such as exactly where or when the test will be given, but I can tell you a bit about the test, itself, if that's helpful.

There are four levels of proficiency, with 4 being the lowest. Even Level 4 is given entirely in Japanese...instructions included.

There will be a listening section (on tape) and a written section; the written section will test for reading comprehension and, of course, Kanji.

They say that there isn't too much of a gap in difficulty between Levels 4 and 3, but it's a huge leap from 3 to 2. Level 1 is not easily achievable even by the average native speaker, I'm told.

I sure wish you good luck.
