There are a number of things that cause that run down tired feeling.
Your bed may keep you from a real good night rest. Too soft, too firm? Do you sleep with the tv or radio on? Do you sleep with pets? A spouse?
Vitamins, minerals & water are great perker uppers B vitamins are excreted daily thru our urine Our bodies need B12 B6 Folic Acid Riboflavin Niacin daily to keep ourselves active & healthy
Coffee & soda pops contain caffiene which attaches to the B vitamins & out they go in the urine Caffiene also leaches out calcium One a day vitamins aren't good They contain the wrong dosage of needed vitamins & have been found to go right thru the digestive tract and down the toilet The only thing you get is the candy coating Use all natural vitamins, read ingrediants, avoid fillers Find out how many mgs of vitamins/minerals a person requires daily Many of the vitamins being sold are excessive or do NOT contain the correct type of vitamins/minerals our bodies can absorb. Calcium carbonate is good for bones and teeth
I'm looking for the Vitamin/mineral recommendation pamplet......

Sounds like you are doing all the right things. Maybe you have some illness. Or allergy. Depression makes you want to sleep all the time too. I don't want to scare you, but my husband started getting sleepy all the time, and taking naps mid day, (he was 50) This went on for months and months, Then he got wicked stomach ache, and was finally diagnosed with pancreas cancer. The extreme tiredness could be a sign of a disease. Lupus, mono, cancer, I forget the other ones that make you tired. I hope it's something you can get a quick fix for, (yeah, like caffiene!)
Do you stay hydrated? Drink lots of water. good luck.

It could be that you have "pfeiffer" also called the kissing disease ( because it is transferred via saliva). A blood test will give you an answer. The disease makes you just want to sleep all day, it can last as long as 6 months, but people have also been cured in weeks. There is no medication for it, a doctor will just tell you to go to bed and stay there.

Try an iron suppliment every other day and B12 as well as a mulitviamin. i am also tired allot and the iron really helped me. I had iron diff anemia and didn't know it. it came on slowly,, about 3-6 mos. the iron cleared it right up. Not eating well/regularly is a cause as is drinking too much.

Maybe you aren't getting enough of the right vitamins or iron. Go to your gp and take a blood test, which will tell you what your not getting enough of, it does sound like iron though, you could always take iron tablets.

Try having a blood test for Vitamin B12 and see if your levels are adequate.
My body doesn't store it properly and I have to have regular B12 shots.. they really help.

Do you have things to do ???? I seem to be tired a lot too, especially when I am not doing anything. If I stay busy, then I don't feel tired...

You might want to check your thyroids..that can cause you to feel tired when you seem to be doing everything else as you should.
