Everyone knows that the nature of the universe is such that order and complexity arise naturally from simplicity and chaos because of the properties of atoms and molecules and the forces which act upon them. Thus we have intricate and perfectly symmetrical snowflakes forming in chaotic clouds of water vapour, solar systems forming in clouds of interstellar gas and dust, and living organisms evolving from the simple single cell to humans and blue whales.
What religious folks do, which is a simple error of logic, is to say that *because* these things exist, the universe *had* to have been designed in such a way that they could exist. It's like scattering a handful of matchsticks on the floor, observing how they land and saying "Ahah! The chances of all the matches landing in EXACTLY this pattern are so astronomically unlikely that they must have been put here by a designer!". The logical fallacy is to specify the end result and then say that things had to have been set up in a particular way *in order* for that end result to occur, i.e. it attempts to work the logic the wrong way.

It is amazing that the snowflakes are made differently. There is a designer who designed each every one of them. By the way, he also designed the universe including the earth.

The very best designer... God. Snowflakes form naturally out of created substances... the earth was created out of nothing.

the term 'Naturally' that you keep using comes from the word NATURE!!
Look around you. Nature is God at work in everything there ever was or ever will be. God is the designer, the Creator, the curator and the keeper of the gates of Heaven and hell.

I believe that all of nature has a designer. At any rate the complexity of crystallizing water vapor (a created process) is far less that the creation of life don't you think? Jim
