You make Islam sound like a brand- fastest growing brand with a 24% market share - hahahahaa. You are forgetting that there is lofe beyong Jesus and Mohammed and Bible and Quran. These two books are not some encycloedias or compendium of all the knowledge of the world. Its not that Mohammed cannot exist because Bible never mentioned it. The computer on which you typed this quesiton exists are that is also not mentioned in the Bible- isnt it!! Look out - the universe is much more brighter and colorful than these monocrome and obsolete books

I am neither a Muslim nor a Christian. I am a Hindu.

You are comparing two great religions for their growth, as if they are trees planted by someone. The approach is fundamentally wrong.

If there is growth, then there is bound to be death or degradation. Neither of the two religions you are comparing will die.

Hindu religion is as old as Christianity or Islam if not older than both, with no beginning or no one single person having established it.

My knowledge is ulmost negligible about the faiths that existed before Chirstianity or Islam were born, where both got practiced first. But sure there must have been something there also. I dont mean that to be Hinduism at all.

All that I am telling is that religions evolve in places to suit the people of that region, in line with their customs, practices, knowledge etc.

There is no need fo us to water it for growth. Religions will survive becuase of faith. Faith is stronger than the religion itself.

I don't think this back and forth bickering between a couple of people over Christianity and Islam is healthy, nor does it belong on here.
If you must discuss it find ways to do it with respect.
How about asking each other about the other's religions so that you can learn more about the religion.

Why are you stepping on other people's toe? Religion is a very sensitive subject. You will not be asking this question if you know the religion well. You can find out the answer to your question in many other ways besides posing the question openly in this forum. Due respect to all, in order to avoid any confrontation and friction, I belief nobody wants to answer your question.

I'm not able to answer you because I didn't study the bible, and I think it is not fair to say something which I don't know.
But I do know that in the Quran it is said that Jesus (PBUH) has predicted the coming of Muhammed (PBUH)
And I have heard that many who have converted from Christianity to Islam have confirmed that Mohammed was predicted in the Bible. see the below links if you wish to know:

Mohammad was mentioned in the bible...unfortunely the bible has been corrupted throughout the ages and there are hundreds of versions in existence and many have been burned by the vatican centuries ago.......if your corrupt religous leaders left the bible intact since the beginning you'd find Mohammads name in there

2 things
#1-Muhammad was born 570AD long after all NT books were written
#2-The majority is NOT always right
you're not helping anyone by being ignorant. Inform yourself then re-join the discussion

Nobody is right or wrong where religion is concerned. It is just a question of what an individual believes in. In religion there is no black and white..it is a grey area.

Hey wzr5... !
Mohammad came more than five centuries after Christ and more than four centuries after the New Testament books were written. How can you expect him to be mentioned in them?

first: majority doesn't mean the they are right, because once the pagan religions dominated the earth, second: Christians are leaving their religion because they asked there selves: which is the easiest to believe, in only one God who is all-merciful who doesn't have a son and doesn't need to sacrifice him to forgive human being, or to believe in one (divided) God who sacrificed his "son" to forgive human being for their great grandfather's sin (Adam), i mean what a son has to do with his father's sin??does the sin included in the heredity??if i am a good man and my father made a sin, must i be punished too only because i am his son???and what we are taught in Islam is: no one bears anyone's sin, everyone is responsible for himself, God will judge everyone for what he did ONLY, finally, you must think reasonably my friend and you will know who is wrong and who is right, thanks for your time

peace
