Of course we'll grow and progress. Over many millions of years we grew and progressed despite 'religion'. There was no religion until we learned to talk and then to print. We created 'religion' to try to understand why we are here and to give us a direction to live and to explain why certain things are allegedly right or wrong.

religion is science(my hindu parents told me)
religion or science is for betterment of mankind.religion is diluted only when some individuals tried to tamper society in the name of religion actual idea is generally humans dont follow whatever is said so in the name of god,people will atleast do the thing even if they dont want to do(that was the mindset in previous days)

I am a Christian and I have never heard of our religion being against human growth and progress. In fact it has fostered it.

no because human had to grow originally to be able to grasp abstract concepts such as god that doesn't correspond directly with survival on earth,humans developed religion and its humans that realize god using religion as a vehicle to approach the lord. all man made,the true god is beyond the grasp of most people
