An age difference is less of a problem the older that you are. For example, 50 - 58 is less significant than 18 - 26. The reason is that when you are younger life's experience is maturing you at a faster rate. All this being said however, it is not a hard fast rule. People make relationships work with large age differences all the time. It depends of the people involved.

It depends on your age. If you are over 18, then its fine. However, you shouldn't expect a long term relationship with her because you are probably on two different wavelengths both physically, and emotionally(age depending, the older you get, the less 8 years would matter.)
