Religion is a practice. Like taking a shower and brushing your teeth every morning. You can do that religiously. Religions are man made so therefore imperfect. It is really the religions the the atheist here hate the most. Trouble is they hump the people of faith in with them. Faith is God given, it is perfect. It is assurance that God will do exactly what He said that He would do. Faith brings a person to a place where love is stronger than hate. Acceptance stronger than rejection... Through faith God conforms us to the image of Christ.... Jim

Faith is getting to know God and trusting in his powers and plan for you and mankind. (very simplified).
Religion is a set of rituals of worship, and also provides a setting to share your "little piece of God and faith " with others as well as an avenue to learn and discuss scripture. Religious institutions are also staffed by those who keep and interpret the Theology of the sect.

I don't believe that you can have faith without religion, as it will not tend to grow, and can too often become your own personal interpretation (that is for your own personal benefit) And faith in God is an outward focused concept.
Many people do have religion without faith. Those individuals tend to rely on the rituals as an end to themselves, and the social benefits of a religious organization, and do not use it as an method to learn and share faith.

Religion without faith is like a fish without water- it cant exist. Whereas faith stands tall like mountain- its doesnt need anything to sustain. The higher the at mountain, the stronger you will feel and the happier you would be. This faith is a faith in yourself

Faith is a belief in something or someone while religion denotes action on the part of the believer. Religion can be practiced for selfish purposes but I don't think you can have faith without actions to prove it.
