Early December is a good time to visit. The Thanksgiving crowds are gone and people are too busy shopping to travel.
San Francisco is usually cool and wet all year round. Always a good idea to pack a jacket and an umbrella. However, it will be beautiful no matter what the weather.
Las Vegas can be surprisingly cold in the fall/winter months. If you stay at a hotel with a fabulous pool there is always a chance that it will be too cold to swim. So if you are using that as a reward for kids, you may want to have a backup plan. But usually a light jacket or sweatshirt will be enough. There is always a chance of rain, but nothing too terrible.
The first of December is an awesome time to visit Disneyland. The weather is great, usually in the 70's with a chance of it being warmer, the rides are usually done with maintenance, and the crowds are nearly non-existant! The park is also decorated for Christmas and is especially beautiful after dark. It's also great that it gets dark around 5pm so you can see all the lights without having to stay too late at the park. You will also find great deals on hotels at that time since it is before the vacation rush.
Have a great time on your vacation. And if you need something or forget something you can always find it here!
Happy Travels!

Sure! Early December is actually a great time to visit Disneyland in California because the crowds won't be bad. They do pick back up again for Christmas around mid month, so as long as you visit early, you'll be fine. Also, stay away from any theme park on a weekend. Visit on a weekday to avoid the high crowds.
The weather will be a little chilly, but overal, nice. Wear jeans and a T-shirt during the day, but pack a sweatshirt to put on at night. Once the sun goes down in December, it will be out-right cold. California has some humidity, but it isn't Florida. So you won't get wet from the cold air... it will just be cold.
As for other California sites to visit, I highly recommend these locations:
* Knotts Berry Farm Theme Park: located 20 minutes from Disneyland in Buena Park, CA
* The San Diego Zoo
* Hearst Castle - San Simeon Bay, CA
* San Francisco, CA - be sure you buy tickets for a play here. Some of the best stage shows can be found here!
*Monterey Bay, CA (best aquarium in California)
If you will be visiting Vegas on your trip, I recommend dining at the Belagio Buffet. It is by far, the best buffet (gourmet) in town. Expect to drop $25 a person. It's worth it though!

This would be a great time to visit these areas, it is the off season and will be cheaper. San Francisco will be chilly and could be rainy. Las Vegas will be very cold (20's) at night and 50's during the day but dry. Disneyland area is anybody's guess. Most likely the weather will be great and in the 70's. But it could be cool and rainy or we could be having what we call a Santa Ana where it is hot and windy. Go and have fun what you won't see is snow! Checkc out these websites for tips for your visit to Disneyland.

This would be a great time to visit any of these cities, Especially if your budget is tight. December is the "off season" for all of these areas, therefore seasonal rates & other discounts will apply at most venues. The climate in all of these areas is on the cooler side & you never know about moisture. Vegas will probably be dry, L.A. is hard to say & San Fran will most likely be wet. Good luck!
