I don't have one, but I'd quite fancy one. Thing is I don't want to look like a chav or a slapper (because I'm not, I just like the jewellery) so, if I thought that was what people were thinking I probably wouldn't have it done.

I think you mean a navel piercing? I think these look lovely on young, firm tummies and if I was young and had one of those I would definitely have a piercing!! But I'm not, and I won't. I have seen older women who have one, but no matter how good their tums may be, I always think it looks 'cheap' and a bit sad. The youngsters usually wear cropped tops that show off the jewellery and I don't think cropped tops look good on over 35's either. But hey, that's just my opinion and I'm sure those ladies love wearing their bars, or whatever; it's your body and if it will give you pleasure then don't worry about other people, because if I really wanted one and had a different opinion, I'd have one!

I don't think it's wrong for you to get a belly bar but I do think that they should only be displayed in public if you have a flat belly. This goes for people of all ages though, not just older women. But yeah if you want one then go for it!!

My wifes' friend had her nose pierced for her 40th Birthday & will have her navel done soon.

Why should there be an age to it?

I think it takes more than a navel piercing to look like a slapper/chav.

If you want one, just go for it.

Belly bars look nice doesnt matter what age as long as its a tasteful bar. Age doesnt matter and who cares what others think its your body and your the one that has to look at it. Im 41 and I'm getting one, a dolphin bar.

Personally I wouldn't have one... but that's because i have no threshold for pain at all and I've heard that they hurt like hell!

I also think you are a little old... sorry... I don't mean to be rude.... but only the young, very toned tummies can carry them off... anyone else... and yes they look chavvy.

Ok..friend of mine..over 50 had belly bar...looked gross..not cos she's over 50 purely because shes got a flabby tum...if you have a tum thats firm then do it..I would.

They say life begins at 40, so go for it. You are an individual, be an individual. Personally I think if you have the figure, do it, life is running out. GL XX

At 40+ you should be able to make up your own mind.
Asking the question on here would seem to say the answer is "no"
