This siomai sauce i'm looking for is the one used by local vendors. It has a black color, spicy and often mixed with calamansi.

i tried looking for this in the grocery but could not find any. So i made it myself... just mince garlic, onions and chilepepper then fry it in a pan... add a bit of soysauce and sugar to taste.

Chili powder would not make the chili notably spiced, it delivers a intensity of style. For spiciness, you are able to upload warm sauce (a authentic warm sauce, not Tobasco), chopped habanero peppers, chipotle chilis in adobe sauce or jalapenos.

It's just soy sauce. Try buying from asian stores or local grocery stores. They mixed it with dried chili or chili paste and mixed with calamansi.
