I know the feeling. I have trouble sleeping too. I've been awake since 3:00 a.m. and just can't seem to close my eyes. It sometimes helps when I get on the computer and answer a few questions. Don't try to force sleep. It just makes it worse.

Agh, I hate those nights when your bed doesn't feel good.

The only thing that works is getting rid of the pillow and sleeping on my stomach with one of my knees kinda bent upwards. It's the best "can't sleep" position... maybe it will work for you?

And clear your mind. Think about your breathing and close your eyes and feel like you're sinking into the bed. Also, usually by early morning like this you start to feel a little sleepy if you open the window and let some cool breeze come in and realize you are actually exhausted.

Good night.

If you're driving, don't take a sleep aid. You need to be able to get at least 8 hours of sleep to take a sleep aid. Try reading. TV and Computers stimulate the brain and will actually keep you awake longer. What about the couch instead of bed?

probably too late now for tonight but next time try melatonin. you can buy it in the supplement aisle in the drug store. it supports healthy sleep patterns: the body naturally releases melatonin in response to the changes in light, w/melatonin levels rising at night. it is in this way that melatonin promotes sleep. sweet dreams:)

i use it and it works-just don't take it too late, you won't want to get up;)

next time, try sleeping at home rather than strange places. avoid coffee or movies that boost up your excitment. no heavy meals before bedtime.
