At the time of the establishment of Christianity Islam did not yet exist. Thus it would be quite unlikely for a new religion to be "supportive" of a future religion.

It is the same reason the old testament doesn't mention Jesus (by name.)

The bible names only Christ as the son of God but says nothing of the muslim prophet. The muslims recognizes Jesus only as a prophet and not the Christ, they also feel that there prophet is greater than Christ.

Hope this helps.

Muslims do NOT believe in Jesus. Jesus said I am the life, the truth and the way, NO ONE comes to the father (God) except through me.

Does the Muslim thoroughly believe this???

The basic discrepancy begins with the angel Gabriel and his words to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

In the Bible, Gabriel told Mary that the holy one who be born of her womb would be the Son of God.

The birth, life, miracles, prophetic fulfillment, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ all serve to confirm the angel's clear and unambiguous statement.

Muslims claim, based on the Koran, that the same angel Gabriel, around 600 years later, told Mohammed that Jesus was simply a prophet, and not the Son of God.

That same angel went on to explain to Mohammed that Jesus didn't really die on the cross, but he just "swooned" or he was replaced at the last moment by an identical "twin" who died in his place ... take your pick as to which story you want to believe.

I would have expected an angel to know what really happened, wouldn't you?

Both statements cannot be right.

Either Gabriel is telling a fib to one of them, or one of them is telling a fib.

You decide.

For the simple fact that Mohammad is a false prophet as stated in the Bible. Muslims believe that Jesus was only a prophet. They do not accept Him as the Son of God, and neither do they accept Him as their Lord and Saviour.

Because Mohammed was not a true prophet in the Biblical sense. Also Muslims do not accept Jesus as God but as a prophet. They lowered Jesus from God to Prophet, we lowered Mohammed from Prophet to mortal man.

Muslims believe that Jesus existed but they do not believe in him as the Son of God. Mohammed was the messenger of God and in no way like Jesus.

man should believe in Muhammad bacause Muhammad is our last Prophet out of 25...Jesus was also one of our Muslim Prophets..He's 24...before Muhammad..So, Muslims also need to believe Jesus.Christians do not accept the presence of Muhammad as our last Prophet..they still want to follow and believe Jesus..that is also why Cristians and Muslims are different..Cristians also believe Jesus is son of God...it's not true..God don't have sons, daughters, whatever..Jesus is just like us human, believe in God and become His followers
