Of course Religions were created by man. Predicated by the spiritual leaders of there faith. From the early beginnings Man needed to have rules. Religions have help given society the rules to live by along with the sane men that understand these things. The belief in a higher being is only natural and faith is good to hold that belief.
Man has had Religions in all societies before Christianity came to there land and either ripped apart or killed all the inhabitants in their own land, to accept Christianity or die. Must like the Radical Muslims of today feel.
So man has created Religions and thru faith Man has come to believe or not believe in Religions.

I think that there are maybe 6 or 7 religions that have a core of truth which can point you to God....but man has perverted religion to control man. The words of the bible for instance have been changed countless times and re interpreted from 4 or 5 different languages. How could the meaning of the message have not been been changed whether on purpose or inadvertently. Its just common sense. Every religion has two dimensions. The dogmatic (bad) and the spiritual core (good). Look for the truth in yourself!!! You have the truth within you! The truth that Jesus says will set you free is within all of us. Buddha talked of the same truth! Religions are all egocentric. The teachings point to truth but they are not the truth. The truth is within you!!!

All religions are man made and built to suit the local masses despite the blind sheep that all flock towards the B.S. of a book writen by another man. Hence the reason all those damn actors started Scienctology just to basically prove the point how some idiot can be so intwined in a book some dead jackass wrote. Hell I need to write a book and drop dead then my family and generations down the road will be set....lol.

Of course religion is man-made. People will always ask: "Who am I?" and in asking further will also ask: "Is there another power out there?" This question means that one group of people is wondering about other life-forms ( aliens) and another group will be wondering about a "spiritual"other, i.e."God".
Before the written word was used, stories used to be told on and on, in this way some storyteller may have invented some "God"like being, this was then enhanced each time the story was told and re-told, generation after generation.
Eventually, of course, stories were written down and so the Bible came into existence. This collection of stories further strengthened the belief in "God".

Yes I agree that most are man made. If people don't like a certain command or something that Christ said they will start their own religion. You have to either accept all of Gods Word or none. You can not under any circumstance change what you do not like. Who are we as humans think we know better then the one that created us.

I don't think all religions started as cults. A cult is different than a religion. A cult makes you give to it. A religion gives you a choice in the matter. You don't have to put anything in that basket on Sunday morning if you don't want to.

Anything created by man is from dust and from his limited mind, cannot endure.
True religions are from the One True God, created from spiritual realities and from God's omnipotence, so they last for millenia despite all sorts of oppositions.

Great question!!!!! Just think...a few decades ago you would have gotten lynched for asking this very question!
I think that man has bastardized religion to the fullest now that the devil is doing the dance of happiness!

Of course they are....man creates gods to fullfil his needs for knowledge..what he cannot understand frightens him, so he fills the void with a superficial thing to adore....just ignorance, nothing more , nothing less. The ancient Greeks were just a good at the god thing as we are. Good luck
