This question is a mousetrap inside of a bear trap.

I think going into Iraq was a mistake. Now I will justify my answer.

Does N. Korea have actual nuclear weapons, rape room and concentration camps?

Has Iran exported terrorism in the form of $, weapons, training, bases, ideology?

Out of the 3 countries; Iran, Iraq, and N. Korea on a scale of 1 - 10 which is the worst one?

Any time you invade and remove a government (good or bad) you are there for at least a decade rebuilding, protecting, and setting up a stable infrastructure. (We want to do it in 6 months.)

Unfortunately Americans view everything now in the short term mentality, if it cannot be done in a year we loose interest. Terrorism will not end by eliminating one man, one country, or us following rules that actually help and assist the terrorist and there backers.

In my opinion keeping countries like Iran and Iraq fighting each other off set the problems that both are causing now.

Whether you liked President Jimmy Carter or not he made one of the biggest mistakes in modern American history by letting the Shah of Iran fall; better to have an imperfect Allie than an unstable and ruthless one against you and the whole world.

I completely support our troops in every way. They're doing their best and they are making many great sacrifices. I also have a nephew who's been there from May of 2003, except for two all-too-short times he got to come home, only to be recalled. I have about twenty young friends there, too, mostly my friends' kids. I offer them my prayers and my support, and all their brothers and sisters in the military.

However, I have no support for the Bush mis-administration or the King-Hell Crooked way he shanghaied us into going there.

I especially do not condone that we've put the true War On Terror, i.e., the hunt for Isama bin Laden, on the "to do" list so that we could all take part in this Bush Family Feud, Part III. We are in Iraq because Poppa Bush is beholden to the Saudi Royal Family and they have the bucks and that's what they want. That is the ONLY reason we're there.

And I especially do not buy into the hog-sh!t that you end Terrorism by attacking a Muslim nation that was at peace. Those nineteen bastards on 9/11 attacked us exactly because of LESSER degrees of what we started in Iraq on March 21, 2003. When they perpetrated 9/11 in cold blood, it took them six years to plan and do that. They are very patient and very crazy. Likely, the next big attack will happen after we get our next president, and he will undoubtedly be blamed for what George Bush will cause.

To put it simply, we're a much bigger Country, and we lost three thousand brave and innocent civilians on 9/11. How do you stop the next attack on the USA by doing this:

http://www.iraqbodycount.net/

If that's your solution to ending terror, God help you. And may God help us and may He have mercy on us all.

After 9-11 Everyone was signing up for the war to go after the bastards that hit us. That is awesome! We stood together as a Nation, and now....the Troops that enlisted are paying the price by having a Dumb *** President and Rumsfeld to not know when to stop! The Soldiers are fighting for us....and are forced to be there mostly because of Our 1st Retarded President and his back up mentally challenged group. It is NOT the Troops fault the President Lies about Iraq
Torture of Prisoners
Illegal Wiretaps....The Troops are just the Guys doing their duty and doing it well. They want to get home more than you think. If you don't stand behind the Troops feel free to stand in front of them. I support the Troops but question the leaders....There are more terrorists today than when we invaded. You can thank good old DubYa for that. I am Proud of our troops for getting their orders complete and trying to get home to us. They signed up with good intentions, and are the TRUE Brave ones.
Get us home!!!

War in Iraq is correct or wrong.this is the question u should ask the American people, who supported their president in going 4 war.now they r against him.more than 50% of americans supported bush in going 4 war.they thought if they could wipe out all its enemies they would be safe, they r wrong.War in Iraq was against all International laws. Many many innocent were killed and tortured by american soldiers, intentionally or non intentionally. The real judges of this war should be the americans, who supported their president in going 4 war, they should judge wheather we done anything good or bad to people of Iraq.they should judge wheather they have improved the life of irqis or not they r the ultimate judge.

It was and is a great present to mullahs of Iran. It resulted in bestowing the government of Iraq to fanatic brutal ayatollahs. It was a big mistake on US's side. The attack must have been targeted to Iran.

The folly will continue as long as the politicians and their corporations profit from it. Trace the profits and you'll find the managers of this mess. What's happening here, in terms of the confiscation of civil liberties and freedoms is just as bad (long term) as what the media chooses to report about this war.

This is more of a politics/policy/dimlomacy question than a military question.

In democratic countries the military caries out the policy as defined by the elected government.

Ask the question elsewhere.

How do you feel about Saddam poison gassing thousands of Kurds? How about the mass graves of hundreds of thousands put to death by Saddam?
Anyone who is against the war in Iraq doesn't mind seeing the pictures of little dead children that Saddam poisoned. They don't care.
