Hi!
A friend of mine is visiting from Europe. She was telling me that she has been trying for years to find the meaning and/or history of her last name... Höntzsch
It can also be spelled Hontzsch or Hoentzsch...
I cannot find a meaning anywhere... I have tried multiple websites. The name is fairly popular, but no meaning... no translation...
So... do any of you know the meaning of the name Höntzsch or where it comes from? Any people good with name Etymology? :)

Höntzsch is a German name. The modern meaning is a pressure gage that regulates the flow of liquids & gases. I'm sure it evolved from something much more iteresting than that (or less technical.) At least you know what language it is now...thats a start!

It's probably Polish from German.
