Do you think its possible for panic attacks to stop by them selfs? I started having them like 2 years ago, could they just stop one day as they started.

They can do - the trick (which can be tricky!) is to learn to no longer be afraid of them. As soon as you stop feeding the panic by fear and hyperventilation, it loses its power over you.

Prior to two years ago, you will have had occasional panic like symptoms, but were not afraid of them, and so they did not become fully blown P/As. You have to find a way back to that sense of not being afraid of them.

I have read some litterature about panic attacks. But they allways seem to have a more scientific approach and that is nothing I need in my struggle to survive those horrible panic attacks. This is a "hand on" and very practical book. I felt it was written to me. I am sure that you are going to feel the same.

Joe Barry writes exactly how I think. The examples are perfectly described. And the method is genius. I recommend this book and thanks Joe Barry for writing it. It changes your life

I'd like that to be true but I doubt it. If you work on it one day they may go away. Panic attacks usually start for a reason and as soon as you deal with the fear then they should go away or at least lessen.

No, no, no!!!!! If you have panic attacks the only way to tackle them is to stay on medication to make them a little easier on you because you won't have as many on medication. They are not just going to go away as they came. I would suggest that if you are having a lot of them to see a psychiatrist asap to get help for them. If you aren't already on medication for them ask for help. It certainly can't hurt just ask.

If you've been having them for 2 years I doubt if they'll go away on their own, you should see a psychologist and start taking some type of herbal medication to relax you in the mean time.

i used to get panic attacks regularly. Now i only get then when im throwing up, or am really really scared, which is a great improvement. They will slow down in time
when you feel one, count in your head slowly and place ur hand on someone's heart to feel their steady breaths,.
good luck and i hope it works!!!!!

I took paroxotene for awhile and pretty soon just forgot to take it and the panic attacks had disappeared.
