Why does God just sit there, watching the strong killing the weak?
Why doesn't he let a would-be rapist die of an heart-attack just when he wants to rape his victim? That way nobody would know it was a divine intervention, clever people would just notice that wanting to rape mysteriously gets you killed ...

Like it is, it doesn't matter whether God is real or not. It makes no difference. The innocent still suffer. And if they suffer less, it's because of humans wanting to help them. Not God.

As for the free will argument: Christian always look at it from the evil-doer's perspective! But what about the victim? Is the free will of the rapist/killer more worth than the life of its victim?

maybe, just maybe, he is not watching.

god has every cable channel possible, he is god ya know, and somewhere in the world at any given time Full House, Good Times, Who's the Boss or Happy Days is on.

Which would you rather watch? A world you gave to your most amazing creation being destroyed, or those adorable little twins being scampish?

c'mon now. no contest, mary kate and ashley all the way.

Man i totally agree with you

Why does God let such horrible things happen, to make an example of us to angels?

I mean thats bs that since Adam and Eve ate off the wrong tree that people are now murdering, raping, stealing from, and hating each other.

If God really existed then the world would be a better place, I wish he did exist, this loving God that every one talks about, i really do

Why would he let a son of a devout christian I know get killed in a car accident at the age of 27 ( he was married with a young family) but let the Saddams and Hitlers of this world live to commit atrocities?
Enough said.

You need to read the book of JOB.
Satan bragged that he could get even the most devout follower of God to commit sin & turn away from righteousness.
God said,"Look there at my servant Job.He is more obediant & humble than anyone in this city".
Satan still said he could turn even him,so GOd said OK,Satan! You can do anything but kill him!
Satan tortured Job for years & he never would curse God for his troubles!
Pretty soon,God said that was enough & He restored everything & then some to Job.Satan is still trying to turn us away from God!
Satan is scared because he knows his time is getting short! He knows he can never win the battle God is preparing to wage on him!He is working overtime on his army!
That is why,no matter what adversity hits a true christian,we keep praising God & doing his will as best we can.We know & understand Him!Nothing on this earth or nothing that can happen here to us is worth losing our soul & our home in heaven!
Your body can be beaten down & killed, but no one can destroy the soul, save God.& he wants us all in Heaven with him.So we keep doing for God!Satan has nothing to give.He is going to be destroyed.

He doesn't sit idly by He suffers still in His humanity in the innocents.
God gave us free will and He doesn't take away His gifts even though some people use them for evil.
He allows evil to happen so that He can draw good out of evil, He's the only one who can, for example the worst evil ever His own suffering and death that for Christians is life and grace.

because if every evil being perishes, we all would go to heaven (there might not be enough space for all of us to live in) and we will be complacent of life, taking it for granted. there need to be a balance in life.

haf u thought that if every rapist, murderer, robber, cheater and pickpocket dies before they commit their act, people would wonder so much about how they died and the reason why.

then again, does God really exist?

God doesn't just sit there and watch evils things being committed. Yes, God allow evil things to happen (though it pains him to see it) precisely because he gave men free will to do what he wants. It is just unfortunate that there are some people who abuse their free will by doing bad things to others.

divine intervention happens when god knocks at our hearts and we are open to listen to him. that's the beauty of free witll because god doesn't insist his own will on us. otherwise we couldn't be called humans but robots. when people take time to listen to the words of god, it results to transformation. it is a sad fact that a lot of times we are deaf to the words of god.

this is my own personal opinion based on my roman catholic faith and i do not wish to argue with anobody's opinion.

We have free will to abide by God's will or not. Those that hurt the innocent are exercising their free will to their own detriment.

Humans are used by God to help protect the innocent. We are the hands and feet and voices of God on earth.
