He and I have been talking about taking a long weekend together. We have set a date and have decided on a destination. It is within driving distance so I'm not concerned about getting stuck with airfare I won't use. I'm wondering if I should be planning something so far in advance this early in a relationship? It will be for a month from now.

Make sure he is involved in setting up the itinerary with you. If he is involved in the process, he will most likely follow through and go with you. A month is a short time and a trip of this nature early in the relationship is very special. Gosh, he may fall in love with you.

I don't think you should worry to much me and my hubby when we first started to date planned things like that all the time long trips even if we went camping just me and him. It one way to get to know someone by spending time with them in another environment it could go wrong or it could make you stronger even in a relation ship you have to make decisions they ma by wrong ones but that were we learn from our mistakes i think a trip is healthy and good for you in a new relation ship and no harm can be done as all you are doing is spending time with someone to get to know them in case there your life partner.

If you are apprehensive then call the trip off. I think long weekends are better reserved for after eight months of dating. But don't worry about it too much either or you will not enjoy your trip.

do your really have that many doubs this early on? i mean its a month away, not like your planning for this spring. if you don't think you'll be together when the time of the trip rolls around, your better off leaving now.

Go have fun, even if you do break up go without him . Life is too short to worry about things like that. Enjoy any time you get to go somewhere and have fun doing it. Later when you get settled down you will be glad you did!!

A month away doesn't sound to far away to me. But, if you two break up go with a friend instead.

I don't see a problem with it. Now it'd be something else if you had only been dating for, say, a week.

don't fret, just go on the trip, it will be here in no time, the best thing to do is to learn how to make up
