oh my god, i cannot believe how cruel and single minded some of you people are....have you ever travelled further than the english cafe in spain?

I hope one day you face ignorance like the kind you dish out!

get a life!

for the lady asking the questions, go with your heart my dear. There is nothing wrong with being open minded and putting trust in someone. Contact the home office, or check the turkish embassy website.

enjoy your future together.

Hun,I feel sorry for you!I am not a natural born British but let me tell you something, which you will remember. My colleagues from Uni were Turkish, all of them got married to a British citizens for the passports only. My friend went ot Turkey on a holiday, she told me the waiter on the yacht ask her to marry him the same day. And when they come to UK and get their indefinite leave to remain, they leave their ENGLISH loves!Even my colleague told me: British girls are so rude and fat and ugly, I am fu*k to live with such woman?I need her citizenship only. Turkey will never join EU,that's why Turkish people wants to arrange their lives.Don't be stupid! The minute your fiancee gets his ILR from Home Office,he will leave you. And I bet he asked you to marry him 2 days after you met....The second problem is that the Home Office knows about the sham marriages and he will end up with deportation order.Do not ruin you life! You'll end up really hurt. Plus he is a muslim,if he gets your future kids to Turkey you will never see them again

If you still feel the same way about him in 2 years time when the chemical induced euphoria of being in love has worn off, marrying would be a good place to start.

Get in touch with the home office !
Watch your answers and then find out if you can put up with the discrimination people will throw at you !
By the way ,the same would happen to you if you'd move to Turkey !
Good luck

I think there is a way to bring your fiancee as your visitor. There is a special visa to bring visitors. Why don't you try to check the Home Office Website, which will give you more ideas of how to bring visitors from abroad!! I think they call it: visa entry clearance.

Check this link: http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk

Forget the silly comments from others.... If you love the person whatever everyone says does not matter.

Good luck and best wishes!

As much as we feel for you, police girl is absolutely right.
I too have Turkish friends who have said exactly the same.
I would call his bluff...tell him you want to live in Turkey for the 1st 5 years or so,better climate etc..cheaper cost of living..etc..
If he says yes....then its game on....if he makes excuses not to,then you know the real answer...he wants a passport and a meal ticket.
Good luck,think very hard.

Be very careful A colleague of mine has been conned out of a lot of money she sent it out to Turkey so he could come to the UK and get new clothes. He told her he had debts to clear so she paid them. He came and disappeared off with someone else

Boy are you opening yourself up for a stream of nationalistic idiocy in the answers ...

Anyway, to more pleasant things, you need to contact the home office (website attached). They will be the ones controlling the process. It can be very difficult, but I'm sure you'll be able to work through it. My wife is a Brit and I had to go through the same process.
