You can tell if a dog has worms if his belly is swollen on one side more than the other. Your vet will have the time frame of when they need to be wormed after your first appt. Usually you start deworming a pup at a few weeks. Check with a local vet. Good luck!

Depending on where you live, like the Southern states, but heart worm can kill your dog. I give my dog a pill every month for that, also we put stuff on her back for fleas, mosquito's, etc. The best way is to take your dog to the Vet. and get her checked, and they will tell you what to do.

You can sometimes tell when they start scooting their butt against the floor. This is their way of scratching an itch, so to speak. You can also check their feces for signs of worms.

Most dogs have worms..Use the spot-on-skin Revolution...then you won't need to worry.
