Get a good quality rope toy.( not the dollar store ones) ..the ones that appear to be twisted string tied in a knot. Soak it in unsalted broth. Dry it in a very slow oven. He will try to chew all the falovor out of that, and it works as dental floss to keep his teeth clean, and his breath fresh.
If he grows tired, (couple of months)as the flavor is gone, just wash by hand, and re-soak.

My dogs' breath is nicer since I switched to feeding Canidae..and their teeth are sparkling clean.

Dogs that smell ususually have dental problems or internal problems. The only other cause could be an additive in the food you are feeding is giving off odours through the dogs skin. Take him to the vet to diagnose the cause. If there is yellow tarter on his teeth this is definately the cause and the vet will descale them and then you will have to brush the dogs teeth once a week with a finger brush and dog tooth paste. This is an essential part of good dog husbandry along with nail clipping and grooming.

my pug gets pretty stinky breath so I bought a doggy toothbrush w doggy chicken flavored toothpaste & I brush her teeth about once a week it helps A LOT!!! dont use human tooth paste as its really not reccommended that it be swallowed even by humans! if tis doesnt help you may need to go to the vet & have his teeth checked....could have a rotten one & this will cause the breath to be VERY FOUL smellling

well unfortunately the doctor may be your only option... he may have something in his stomach causing this, or a tooth problem that needs tending to. you can try treats that cut down tartar on dogs teeth and some treats or bones for bad breath

Did you ever think it might be what you feed it? People do brush their pets teeth.
