7-8 hours is ideal for most adults.
Also, the quality of your bed can have a HUGE effect on your sleep. Also your daily activities. If you dont drink caffeine past the afternoon, dont watch tv or use the computer an hour before bed, and do something relaxing before bed like take a bath or something, then you will sleep better. also, dont eat for 3 hours before you go to bed and eat something as soon as you get up. this is good for your sleep and your overall health. Sleeping MORE than 8 hours, unless you have a medical condition will actually leave you feeling more tired. try to get on a regular nightime routine before you go to bed, and try to go to sleep and wake at the same time everyday. if you get up the FIRST time you wake up in the morning instead of hitting the snooze button, you wont be as tired

For me I can only sleep for 4 hours and wake up hype as ever. If I sleep longer than that I feel like crap in the morning. Everyone is different when it comes to this I believe. But from what I have learn everyone needs atleast 7-9 hours of sleep I believe.

it depends on how old you are. but over the age of 25 you need at least 7-8 hours. under the age of 20 you need at least 9 or more to refuel the body from all the energy you expel.

each person is different, BUT they are now recommending 8 hours sleep. Also, you might have sleep apnea. Check with your doctor. Sleep apnea means you stop breathing during the night so your body doesn't recharge and you will always be tired no matter how many hours you sleep.
