Yes. I have a Federal Script for it. It is not as good for the type of pain that I have (Lupus, Nueropathy, Cancer and least we forget Fractured S.I. Joint). I do have a friend who gets his from the Gov. for his MS and it seems to work better for him. I wind up taking more pain pills than I do smoking.

The Medawanna (OK poor joke) comes prerolled in a can of 200. The 200 are a months supply. HOWEVER, even though I live in a state (Colorado) where pot is only a 50.00 ticket, if I take it out of my home and carry on to the mall, even though I have a script for it, I can still get a ticket for it....go figure

I agree with what the other person said about numbing emotional pain. When you smoke all your troubles go away.
But with me it seems that anything physically hurt feels worse when I'm high. Maybe that's just me. How bad can it be if they are prescribing it to people right? I know of a person who uses it for multiple sclerosis and another who uses it for back pain. (ms=prescription, back=dealer!)

I only smoke it for recreational purposes and I only usually take a medium dose. I would still be able to feel pain but it wouldn't be as distracting as when I'm sober. If it's for bad pain, I think you'd need a heavy dose to relieve it. Also you'd need to smoke it every couple hours or so to maintain that high.

If you are smoking it for medical reasons, I'd recommend a good vaporiser like a Volcano brand one so you don't damage your lungs.

Yes it helps serious pain sucks and is not a joke it is horrible to be in so much pain that you have to take meds but I would think marijuana is better than morphine, they give both for cancer patients, I would pick a joint before the morphine any day.

My mother was given it as a prescription to stimulate her appetite in 1986, shortly before she passed away. She was not a smoker, so I made her tea from it. She disliked the taste and never used it. The remaining joints (yes, that is what the pharmacy gave me, rolled joints in a baggie!) somehow found their way to some of my other relatives who made use of them for non-medicinal purposes.

I never heard of it being used for pain control.

everyone uses it for pain, emotional pain...
can't live in reality. need to not feel life.
THC is a natural lubricant in the brain,
toking increases the amount of THC in the brain
and prevents the brain from feeling. similar to the effects alcohol has but without the hangover.

It is not a myth... It can help a lot with nausea, insomnia, lack of appetite... It can also help with minor aches and pains...

I believe it should be used as a medicine. It has a bad reputation for illegal use and abuse, but it does have medicinal qualities that could ease suffering for many.
