Why women want to have kids at 16/18?

you see all these young girls with a pram load of kids why do they want them? or are they just stupid and don't know how to stop having them?

They are immature & think it will be fun. Like playing with dolls but living ones. Some have no intelligence & have no hope of pursuing a career & fall into the trap of marrying young, having kids & ending up divorced & alone with several kids by various fathers.

I think it's because they want attention or they think the father of the child will stay with them because of pregnancy. Most teen age guys ditch the pregnant girl and maybe go see her when the kid is born, but that's it. Teen agers bringing babies into this world are selfish and ignorant and the kid will suffer for the parents being immature. Also, if the teen age mom/dad is lucky enough to have the support of their own parents then the baby might have a chance for a decent life, but more often than not, the teen agers parents end up raising the baby because the teenage parent is out partying and not even caring that there is a baby a home.

i think you're stupid for asking this question!
when you are walking along the street and see a young girl with a young child/baby you don't know the full story behind it. she could simply be looking after the child or even if it is her own she may be in a stable relationship and be happy to be a mum.
i am 19yrs old and married with a young child, i fell pregnant at 17yrs old and was very happy as was my fiance at the time (now husband)
the problem is not that people are having children younger today, it is that todays society is so judgmental and condisending that it doesn't take a step back to think that there is a story behind a situation and that its not always young people getting drunk having unprotected sex and 9months later having a child that they are supposedly too young and irresponible to look after.

god help anyone who has a child with you if you have that attitude

Honestly I have no idea, I made that mistake-got pregant at 17 damn was I stuped. Later I got married though and my husband took in my daughter as if she was his own. Shes now 7 and she has a 4 yr old brother.

My best friend has 4 kids single and shes like 20, I asked her why didnt she learn to either close her legs or ge ton birth control. luckily they are all from the same father-hmm or is this luck, since h doesnt help her out.

Mostly crap sex ed and irresponsible parents not putting them on depro injections or inserting coils before they are likely to have sex and taking responsibility for that till kids grows up enough to be trusted with it.

With all the detailed sex ed...

And no alcohol...

However one want kids and its a mixture of homornes... hence parents who know better hopefully putting them on depro injections to avoid moment of madness due to hormones...



With others its likly to be lack of love in their life so want someone to love them unconditionally...

In this case a pet cat would have been a better idea


Or want a pupose in life ... common in ghetto type areas and estates where little hope of a career not a job iw onw with purpose... (burger flipping does not count).

And status etc som thing being a mum will give that...


Need better prospects...


In all cases being teenagers they have no idea how much babies mess up your life.

Sometimes it's not their fault. Other times, it is.

Maybe they didn't expect pregnancy. Or maybe they just wanted an easy way out of high school. Or perhaps they wanted to feel more grown up.

The girls who have their kids at 16, they might not want the kids, or didn't intend to have them, or didn't even know they were going to have them. Honestly, you never know in any situation. Don't call them stupid, it might not be their fault.

its not really a want, its a opps!!! and they dont want abortions which is good, if they can spread their legs they can take what comes out afterwards! some do want, but hey i had my son at 19, i graduated highschool and my husband is in the military! korbin wasnt planned but i am happy i have him here with me today, besides at least i will get to have grandkids, some women who have kids 35 and up might not make it that far! so yeah which i hope most of em do!!!! *no offense to anyone*

for all you people out there who are o so perfect i congratulate you,its just a shame we young mums can't be just as perfect as you.it takes 2 people to make a baby but all you go about is these young mums,where do you think they get the sperm from to make these babies?? i had my Son when i was 17 and no he wasn't planned i was on the pill and no i did not forget to take it,i took it every day and never missed a single pill but still i got pregnant and had a wonderful child who is perfect in every way.although i didn't plan my pregnancy i wouldn't change a thing.wot about these shallow,older men who only want to sleep with these young girls to have something to tell the lads???

OK FIRSTLY NOT EVERY1 IS LIKE THT I GOT PREGNANT AT 18, 19 WEN I HAD MY SON AND YES IT WAS PLANNED BUT THE FATHER UP AND LEFT AS SOON AS OUR SON WAS 6 MNTHS NOT EVERY1 IS BAD I WANTED A BABY COS I NEW I WOULD BE A GOOD MUM AND THT AT LEAST WEN MY SON WAS OLD ENOUGH TO MOVE OUT THT I WOULDNT BE A GRANNY NO OFFENCE TO NE1 BUT I AM PLANNING TO HAVE ANOTHER ONE ONCE IM SETTLED DOWN AGAIN JUST NOT TIL MY SON IS 5 COS IM GOING TO UNI NOT ALL PEOPLE ARE AS BAD AS U THINK SO DNT JUDGE BEFORE U DNT NO THE SITUATION AND PLUS I WAS PREGNANT OPNCE BEFORE MY SON AND IT WAS THRUOGH RAPE SO LIKE I SAID DNT JUDGE BEFORE U DNT NO THE SITUATION IM NOW 20 AND ENJOYING EVERY MINUTE WITH MY SON
