My fiance and I got into a fight and he left for Atlantic City saying that I let him go with a loaded gun. I called him to see if he arrived OK and he did not call me back for like 5 hours. I got mad and left him some nasty messages. He wound up calling me and explained what happened so I apologized. Later this evening, he calls me and tells me that I should apologize 5 times because it was 5 bad messages. Now isn't that a little childish. I just feel like he is trying to control me.

There seems to be so many things wrong about that story, aside from the apologies. Read your question as if you didn't write it and were reading for the first time. You might gain some insight about this relationship if you did. Good luck with your impending ugly divorce

Whoa! Five times for five messages? That's ridiculous. Tell him to get real.

And by the way, how did he get the loaded gun through security at the Atlantic City airport? (Snarf, snarf!!!) =D

RUN GIRL RUN! Consider yourself lucky that you haven't made the mistake of marrying him yet. Believe me, there are always some "little signs" that (if you marry him) later you will wish you would've listened to your gut feeling! If he is that controlling and manipulative NOW, it WILL get worse once you get married! And for the record, a person should only have to apoligize ONCE for anything. ONE mistake-----ONE apoligy! Anything past that, means he is tying to control and BELITTLE you.

well, you did leave all five of those nasty messages... without knowing your history with him, i think you should just let the air clear and try not to let your emotions get the best of you. it's not a good foundation for a long term relationship. stay strong, clear headed and think before you act. i wish you the best.

What jeninsocal said. Don't be in a hurry to get married. Someone has some growing up to do.

Tell him "I'm sorry" five times, consecutively. And when he tells you thats childish, tell him you thought so too.

You must respect yourself and what you do. Petty crap indicates your relationship is on the rocks.
