I know someone who haves a hard time dealing with anger management and I think alot of it has to do with his father's death when he was 14, alot of built up anger. He thinks that doing so is stupid and that it wont help.

it's a touchy subject. it's that myth that if u need to see a psychiatrist that you're crazy...not so...you don't have to be crazy to see one...i should know...i've seen 3.

best thing to do is for him to make an appt. with his primary care doctor and most likely will refer him to psychiatrist but in the meantime, will give him something to make him feel a lil better til he can be seen with the psychiatrist.

Well, tell him he is going to lose a lot of very close friends some day if he doesn't care enough about them to get some help with his anger problem, not to mention he will suffer down the road..He is probably mad at the world...Time will help some of this, but bitterness can also manifest itself and change a person's personality for the worst...You are a dear friend who cares, I can tell..but don't let him bully you..

Keep him talking about his anger. SOONER OR LATER he just MIGHT decide that it is GOOD to talk.

Your local Mental Health Clinic is a good place to start for information & evaluations!

This doesn't sound stupid. Maybe he feels angry at the world for not having closure.
