First, make sure it is for the right reasons. Not because he is moving away and your going to miss your bestfriend. Second, if he is your bestfriend you should be able to say anything to him. If he is moving and he does not feel the same for you then no lost. If he does, do you think this will stop him from moving or you willing to have a long distance relationship with him? You have to decide some things before you let the cat out of the bag. End the end you do have to let the cat out of the bag very soon.

What I have done in the past is, either tell him/her that you think you want something more, and could see a serious relationship developing out of the friendship. Or, as him what he considers you, and if he would ever consider you as something more than just a friend.

Life is short, live it to the fullest, no regrets. If there are regrets, you didnt live to the fullest.

Just tell him before it's too late.
If you don't tell him now then you won't ever be able to.
I would come out and tell him I love him.
You shouldn't hide the truth from someone you truely care about.

tell him you had a dream that the two of you were together, and it felt so natrual and comfortable. if he has a negative reaction, agree with him and save your hurt for later, and if he seems intrested, tell him maybe you should try it in real life!

How about: "I love you but I'm not sure you feel the same about me?"

Personally, I'd rather know that he doesn't love me than wonder for the rest of my life if I could've had something and let it pass.

And who knows... maybe he does? :)

Just tell him... It will be hard, but the regret of never telling him would be even harder.
