My husband has stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer that metasticized(sp) to his brain. He had chemo and radiation and is still exactly like what you describe. I was told that things happen depending on what part of the brain is affected. Radiation damages the brain as well as any other part that radiation is used for. My husband sees lights moving and will yell for me to come see it. I, of course see nothing. Does your Dad take any anxiety meds? My husband takes Lorazepam. He can't function without it. He also takes Ambien to help him sleep.

Brain anatomy is tricky.I've had a primary brain tumor for past 5 years. mine causes seize res. He should be on some anti infiltraty drug like decadron, I hope, this is standard HE SHOULD BE ON decadon.Radiation causes the tumor to swell, in a good way kinda like bruising it, which puts pressure on the white matter increasing the effects you alluded. A neurologist could explain the brain map more explicitly. These side effects can be minimized with anti seizure type of medications, again a competent neurologist should know this.Hope you are at a metropolitan hospital.I go to New York, best place to be, NYU to be exact. Hope it works out

The brain lesions have caused a form of dementia. There is a lot of good information online about dementia. A lot of it refers specifically to Alzheimer's disease but it applies to a situation like cancer in the brain as well.

Sounds like terminal restlessness. Make sure your dad knows how much you love him and how much he means to you.
