Sit in the middle of the classroom. that way its easier to make friends. Seriously, being seperated from your friends it the best thing. It makes you have to actually work on keeping a friendship. You'll lose friends, but you'll gain so much more. Its life. Just be yourself and dont be fake. Join clubs, be social. You can always see your friends before school, during lunch, passing time, and after school. Next term, your schedule will change, so you might get one of them in your classes.

be yourself and talk to people. i'm sure you'll make friends. i'm a freshman in college and don't know anyone. but i've met tons of new friends by just starting a conversation. who knows what you might have in common w/them.
