Understanding Prosperity
Throughout the Word, God plainly shows that His will is for His covenant people to have a surplus of prosperity. He promised to make Abraham rich, and the promise of Abraham is ours today (Galatians 3:13-14; Genesis 17:6). Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith . God's will is prosperity for you - spirit, soul and body.
We want to share with you what true Bible prosperity is and how to apply it to your own life. We encourage you to look up each of the following scriptures as a basis for your own study.
1. What Is Prosperity?
Matthew 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." James 2:14-17 ; John 14:21; 2 Corinthians 9:9
True prosperity is the ability to use God's ability and power to meet the needs of mankind - regardless of what those needs may be.
2. Spiritual Prosperity
Romans 8:2; Luke 4:18, 6:27-38
Spiritual prosperity is freedom from the law of sin and death. To be born again and filled with the Holy Spirit puts you in the position to receive from God all the things promised in His Word.
3. Mental Prosperity
2 Corinthians 10:5; 3 John 2-4; Philippians 4:7;
1 Thessalonians 5:14
To prosper mentally (in your soul), you must be able to control your mind, your will and your emotions. Prosperity of the mind comes when you use the knowledge you have accumulated from the Word of God - when you are taking control of your mind, instead of allowing your mind to control you.
4. Physical Prosperity
1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness — by whose stripes you were healed.; Mark 16:15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages , "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." ; Luke 6:38 "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."; 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
Physical prosperity is twofold - health and wealth. Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the Law - sickness, poverty and death (Deuteronomy 28:15-61). Health and wealth belong to the believer. Meditation on the Word and acting on the Word will bring results (Joshua 1:8). When you act on the Word, mix your faith with it and do not doubt in your heart, the Word will work for you.
What produces spiritual, mental and physical prosperity? What brings all these areas together? The Word of God.
Hebrews 4:12 says the Word is alive, powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. It divides the soul and the spirit, the joints and the marrow, and knows the thoughts and intents of the heart. When you are walking in the Word of God, you will prosper and be in health.
We cannot settle for prosperity in the physical or the mental realm only, just as we cannot settle for spiritual prosperity alone. We can't afford to be lazy and to discount physical and mental prosperity simply because we are saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. It is God's will for us to be made whole - spirit, soul and body - and to be kept that way until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
As you walk in the light of God's Word, you will become prosperous in every area of your life.
A Confession of the Prosperous Life
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I confess that Your Word reigns over every area of my life. Because of that, I live a prosperous life. I thank You that You liberally supply and fill to the fullest measure every need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. According to Deuteronomy 8:18, You give the power to get wealth in order to establish Your covenant. So as an act of my faith, I receive that power to work in my life.
I confess before You that I am a giver. As I give abundantly of my increase, I know that You will make all grace, every favor and earthly blessing, come to me in abundance so that I am always, under all circumstances and whatever the need, totally self-sufficient, possessing enough to require no aid or support, and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation.
Father, I thank You that Your angels are free to minister for me and bring in the necessary finances so that I can continue to be generous to Your work. It is written that Your angels have been sent to minister for heirs of salvation, so I loose them now to work in my behalf.
I confess today that I am redeemed from the curse of poverty. I resist lack and say that it has no place in me: The Lord is my shepherd and I do not want. Abundance is mine. Success is mine. The blessings of the Lord are mine. I confess it and thank You for it, in Jesus Name.

The facts are simple: 10% base and an occasional good faith offering when requested by the spirit means the the preacher will make the same money as ten parishioners. If he has a hundred he will make ten times as much and if he has a thousand he will make.... Well, you get the point.
Now, for the reason. It would be unseemly for God to let one of his chosen few ride around in a shabby, ratty old car. God has to show that his believers become prosperous and the preacher believes a lot more in the gullibility of the flock than anyone. He even has them believing that if you cast your bread on the water that it will return to you ten fold. Wait a minute, a late breaking spiritual revelation: Cast bread and it comes back a hundred fold. Not right away perhaps but if you are patient and let the Lord work in his mysterious way, it will pay off eventually. Or not.
Basically, they need to be rich bastards to show that God blessed them here on earth, as it is in heaven. You know, "storing up treasures here on earth". And that's a quote from the Bible and that is the literal truth.

Because he is not a true man of G-D.... Someone that has "fear of Heaven" and fear of "G-D" will never do such a thing....
This is a person that is a "salesman" in what he does, he sells so well that all the poor give "HIM" money.....
There is nothing wrong with living in luxury, but when you have so much materilstic things, there is NO WAY in the world your sprituality could be that close to G-D.....
Those that are poor and give him the money, are so much closer to G-D then this jerk off.....

Because , unfortunately, many so called preachers today have fallen into the steps of Oral Roberts, Robert Tilton and Jim Baker. And have subscribed to the " Prosperity Ministry so common today. Unfortunately they seem to focus more upon their prosperity than focusing on the spiritual needs of their followers. They will soon have to answer to /god for their actions.

Patrick J,"the rich get richer and the poor get poorer",because the rich, conscious or unconsciously abide by certain laws of prosperity.READ LUKE 19;12-27, basicly prosperity is like muscle strength, exercise increases it,don't use it you lose it.if one works hard for GOD,he should be blessed greatly if he has the humility to accept it. Why should your minister live like a pauper just because others do. see newhopeministries.info , prosperity link. its your turn, now that you know, it is up to you,put up or shut up. One doesn't neccesarily have anything to do with the other. Most pastors I know earn their income outside the church.
Alas, that's one of the trappings, sometimes, of preaching God's Word. Whether God blesses them with riches untold or they fleece their flocks, God will hold them accountable for the funds they bring in in His Name.
And sometimes the IRS will too!
EDIT: Stupid is as stupid does. We're not the ones paying for his luxuries & then complaining about it to people who can do nothing about the problem.
You asked a question, you got answers. You don't like them, quit asking.

My pastor has a lot of nice things too, but he owns his own business and earns those rewards himself. He doesn't accept money from the church. Most pastors accept a salary because serving the Lord takes up all their time and to do it effectively, they cannot hold another job. Being a pastor is their job, so they should receive a salary for that. My church is blessed with a team of pastors who share the duties.

Its the price of entertainment. Tom Cruise gets $20 million a movie. What's your poor preacher getting compared to that.

Because people a lot smarter than you invented religion so they could suck their livelihood out of gullible fools who are dumb enough to swallow their lies about a god and an afterlife.
