No. Satanism is a religion based upon Christianity, but from a different perspective.

First of all, you have to define 'devil worshipper". Are you going by the term that Christians tend to use for people partake in certain actions they don't agree with?

In any group there are extremists. So you can have someone claim to be a devil worshipper or Satanist who is only doing stuff for shock value. Then you have Satanists who don't believe in or worship any "deity" other than their own self. So that could be considered athiest. Also, Satanists do not recognize or revere the God of Christianity, but there are some who may do that.

A good place to check out for info is http://www.mysticwicks.com and you can ask Satanists there what their exact beliefs are. You'll find a different answer with each person.

Yes: well, if you worship something then you believe in something. But some who call themselves satanist claim to not believe in God or Satan; they would deny the Bibles teaching of a real devil. If you told someone like this that they are Satan/Devil worshipers, they would laugh at you like you were an idiot. To them, being a "Satanist" is just a way of saying that what the Church says is of Satan is really the natural tendencies of man. That man is the ultimate of all beasts, yet only a beast nonetheless. That the things the Bible/Church say are sin(s) are really the things man has a right and beastly need to engage in.
This type of a "Satanist" claims to be an athiest: Anton LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan would be an example of this.

Yes, an Atheist can be a devil worshipper.

You are correct in your logic. In the Bible it says "even Demons believe in God, and shutter". Belief is commonly mistaken for Faith. Faith is an act, or a way of being. But there may be people that don't really believe in God or the Devil, but just do evil things like worship the Devil just because they are evil.

No. Atheists believe in nothing, by definition. Contrary to what you've described in you're description- The term atheist can be applied to ANYONE who "denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings." However this does make devil-worshipers very much non-atheists, yet, not neccisarily for the reasons you specify. Devil worshipers believe in the devil as a supreme being, making them not atheists.

Therfore- You are correct.

Nope. Can't, no way. You have it exactly right.
On the other hand, lots of the stuff about Christian beliefs are utterly illogical and irrational like the Holy Spirit that did Mary but the Holy Spirit is one and the same with God and the Kid. The Kid being made man but one in the same as God so he was never a man, just eternal God who didn't give his Kid to die on the cross because God and Kid and Holy Spirit are one and the same, unless we need to take poetic license to create a metaphor that we call literal truth which really isn't literal but is figurative.
So, in essence, you can believe any goofy thing you want. That's it.

You are correct in that an atheist cannot worship Satan. First, the fact that it is part of the God religion, which they do not believe in, and second because worshipping someone deifies them, so Satan would be God. Since atheists don't believe there is any god, they clearly cannot hold Satan as a god.

Much of the theory of the devil is an inversion of who the "god" of the christians is. Some actual devil worshipers see that the "evil" god is the one observed by slave religions, and that the "one" they worship is the only one that truely "enlightens" those who choose to pursue it.

LaVeyan Satanism is pretty much atheist. It's more like a mock fellowship that states itself by pointing it's big middle finger up against christiantiy, "sheep" and the mind of bondage that is encouraged by mainstream religion. LaVeyan Satanism beleives in NO god.

That is a very philosophical question.

Many religions worship many things. The key word is things.
Satanists also practice their religion with rituals, idols, chants,
and have a spiritual awareness for the supernatural.
That may say something for them. They even publicly congregate and worship in churches. Atheist or agnostics have by their own minds, raised themselves far above anything and everything. That must be comforting for them to completely sell out in this race called life. Like a little kid deciding to sit down on the race track wait for the end.

An atheist is someone who doesn't believe in God or a god. If they believe in the devil as their god then they are not atheist because they believe in this higher being.

an Atheist believes in nothing which is an belief in something.
A devil worshiper would believe. in the Christian idea of the Devil as their God.
But the CREATOR OF ALL THINGS created these being to fulfill a role in the total scheme of things and they will be accountable for their actions as would any believer on the day of judgment.
