Not really. It would be much like a family reunion.

Those places are not very nice at all, let alone humourous. A friend of mine almost commited suicide and basically had a nervous breakdown. His family took him to the ER because they had no insurance. Well he got sent to a state mental institution for about a week. None of his family was allowed to see him for about a week. I took some things (clothes, toothbrush, comb, etc.) to him. A nurse from his floor came down to the lobby to pick them up. I had to wait on her for about 15 minutes. Well, some of the patients had more privledges than others, and they basically got to roam around. They were hanging out in the lobby and they were very strange. I felt sorry for them, but it was a real awkward situation. And, while he was in there he got his clothes stolen along with some other stuff. Like I said, not a very nice place to be in. Visiting was bad enough, I couldn't imagine having to live there if only for a little while.

The words humor and asylum just don't go together. Oxymoron. I see no humor in this at all, nor would I if sent to a facility anywhere.

No, as someone who was in a mental hospital for anxiety/depression 12 years ago, for 4 months, there are many people who have deep issues from chronic depression, schizophrenia, multiple personality disorder. You're also away from your friends and family and privileges have to be earned. Also, the unit is locked. Yes, you deal with your issues, but would you want to be caged? Also, imagine any of those "Big Brother" shows where you are stuck in a certain place with complete strangers for months.

Anyone who thinks that would be humorous has a warped sense of humor along with a selfish attitude toward others. What a stupid question to ask,,, ps Book yourself in.

If you haven't seen "one flew over the cuckoo's nest" it might be a good rental. And it should be a cheap rental. Its thirty years old, when Jack Nicholson was first making his name in film.

Even better. Find an old person from Former Soviet Union or China, and ask them about re-education camps.

Obviously you've never been in one or you would never have asked such a stupid & offensive question.
You are sent to a HOSPITAL when you are mentally ill.

Grow up or go away.
