Let me answer your question with a short story. A person who owned a new Max. complained about the gas mileage. My job was to test the car, to see how many miles per gallon it could deliver. Later that day the owner picked up his car and didn't believe the mileage, so I had to take him out and show him. His answer to me was "I don't drive like that". My point, mileage has a lot to do with your foot and how you use it. There's no such thing as an estimate, it either does or does not. By your question I don't believe you know how to test for gas mileage and there's more to it than miles and gas used. You should fine someone who really knows how to test for it. Good Luck Mark

Next time you go to the pump, reset the trip meter. Then when you fill up again, fill it up a full tank and note how many gallons you've filled up. Divide the number of miles with the number of gallons and you will have your MPG. The EPA rating is very inaccurate so don't be relying on that!
