dude its ok.. ask her to handle all the responsibilities of the dog and do not interfere and do not co-operate in the matters related to dog. tell her you are allowing her freedom to have her dog and you dont like it so you want to be kept away from its responsibilities..!!

i take it you two live together and if so why didnt she tell you ahead of time about the dog? if you two share a living space wouldnt that have been the mature thing to do? and if you did happen to know that she wanted a dog and have been talking about getting a dog, why didnt you voice your concerns then? instead you wait until the last minute, so now she's probably attached already and believe me it doesnt take long.Maybe you should sit this one out buddy or prepare yourself for the HUGE fight you two are going to have when you tell her she cant keep the dog, good luck.

Set some rules, who walks the dog who feeds the dog who cleans up after the dog, who takes the dog to the vet, dogs take a lot of work I know, did she talk to you about this before the dog came home???

It is her dog. She should do all the care for it. I have 2 dogs. If you are living together and she got this dog when you did not want one then that says a a lot about your future together.

She got the dog,she takes care of it. If she can't and it lands on you, then keep the dog and get rid of the girlfriend.
Problem solved.

be there for her... just tell her there alot of responsibility to have a dog be live me it is.....make sure the place she staying at is permanent... in case you get kicked out and don't have any where to go are if you go some where else that doesn't allow dogs then your screwed..... then you have to give away your dog when you got attached to it, a dog need alot of attach en to.... so tell her its a big step, just be there for her and tell her the situation she's putting her self threw.... a dog is like a baby to you...

Did you guys talk about it before she got one? Sounds kind of irresponsible to me.
I feel sorry for the dog.
