you know we have something in commin.... My rotwilder/begal is so scared of noise when any dogs or cats come between our fenced yard he barks and barks and barks but when i walk him he sees a cat or a dog you would think a tiger got loose... he is so scared he runs toward the house... if some one raises there voice "boom" he hides in the basement..We just live with it .....we got him as a abused mutt and I think the family of 12 did not treat him very good as a matter fact after the puppy stage wore off they paid no attention to him and kept him in the basement all the time... WE are animal lovers and we took him out of that hell...So mayby he had a bad experence as a pup........but he may grow out of it ..If I were you I would have a friend come over two to three times a day ring the doorbell then when you answer the door ....have your friend give him his favorite treat wearever he is at a couple of times...Then do the same thing with your friend comming in and moving closer and closer to the door every time...With patience your dog will end up back the door...Do not make him do anything yet other than comming to the door first....Let him get usto that routine and make sure you give the super praise plus the food at first ....THen start backing off the food with smaller and smaller treats BUT "super Important" double the amount of praises...........Now use both a small treat and a lot of praise.........Work With This cuz it will not happen overnight....I Could teach you more about how to get him to bark but do not try too many things at one time it will only confuse the dog I will Tell you how to get him to bark after you do the first step.......GOD Bless ....this will work I will tell you more in about a week if you want...Mr.Big.................
