I have 3 blackhead-like places on the upper bridge of my nose. The rest of my skin is fairly clear. In this certain place, my skin is very thin from a chicken pox scar that never healed, that I put collagen on to try and plump. I've scrubbed gently and they won't go away. Could this be skin cancer?

Doesn't sound like skin cancer:

The ABC's of skin cancer include any change or development in a mole or skin growth that should prompt you to see a dermatologist. These may include;

A- Asymmetry- You should notice the general look of your moles or growths, for example, if one half of the mole or growth does not match the other half.

B- Border Irregularity - If the edges of the growth are ragged, notched or blurred.

C- Color - The pigmentation of the growth is not uniform. Shades of tan, brown and black are present. Dashes of red, white and blue add to the mottled appearance.

D- Diameter - If the width is greater than 6 millimeters (about the size of a pencil eraser), it could be an indicator of an abnormal skin growth. Generally, any new mole growth should be a concern.

Melanoma, a very serious type of skin cancer has two hallmark symptoms. The have irregular color and irregular margins. (i.e. the blemish has mutiple colors and/or an irregular outer edge. If you have either get to a doctor immediately. Melanoma has a very good prognosis when cought early and removed surgically, (a simple procedure done with a local anesthetic).. It becomes very hard to treat when it has spread or the primary lesion is large and deep. If you have any doubts see a doctor as soon as possible. Melanoma kills. Chances are it is not melanoma but please do not take chances. When in doubt check it out.

It's hard to tell from your description, but anything out of the ordinary on your skin that has had a lot of sun exposure should be looked at by a dermatologist. If you catch skin cancers in time, they are curable--even malignant melanoma. Any doubt will cause anxiety, and it's just better to be safe than sorry.

Cheryl S gave you the ABC's of Melanoma.
That does not stand true for all skin cancers.
It does not sound like cancer, but to be sure, see your Dermatologist.
