What is it that irritates you. Figure it out, then change that about yourself, because that's probably the same thing that people find annoying about you.

Well some would say it's your way of admitting you have issues with yourself that you're refusing to face & resolve perhaps. Or could it be you simply know you are a jerk of some sort, but you're OK enough with it that you aren't willing to even to even try or think about changing but still you cannot tolerate those who are like you because, as you know they are intolerable, insufferable jerks of some type?

Not really. Lots of people do better with people who have complimentary traits, rather than people who are just like them. For example, someone who talks a lot needs someone who likes to listen and vice versa.

I do that too, I have found that the things that bother me most about other people are the things that I don't like in myself

Gosh, I was trying to shut down the computer, but I saw this question, and a joyful grin crossed my face.
I am going to answer your question with my very favorite quotation.
The faults we see in others are the faults we ourselves possess :)

No, I don't think it is weird. If nothing else, it should make you check out those things that you don't like about yourself. Many times we don't see just how we are until we see someone like us...then we are scared to death, lol.
