I'm Turkish. We live in Türkiye. We're middle eastern but we're white. Most of us have brown hair and eyes..We speak Turkish..We have a huge history and culture. We are so friendly :-) and we want u to call our country as Türkiye. We hate Turkey..Yes, our government wants to be a member of EU (most of the Turkish people don't want it), but we can't because they want a lot of difficult things to do from our country. Here in Istanbul men don't beat women but in Anatolia it's like that. But Türkiye will beat this with education..That's it I think. If u need more information about Türkiye and Turkish people, u can search on the Net ;-)

Turks speak the Turkish language. They cannot be called middle-easterner I think. They are caucasian. Since the culture is very mixed you cannot find a stereotype easily.

(Oh and the ancestors of Turks do not come from Middle-East! They come from middle Asia. And I don't understand why people answer a question when they have no idea about it. Turkish is in no way a dialect of Arabic. Turkish and Arabic are actually very different. Arabic is an Indo-European language whereas Turkish is an Ural-Altaic. It's true we have borrowed words from Arabic because of geographical relation and also because it's the language of Islam)

I'd recommend you to visit the following link to learn more about Turkish culture.

I am one (Turk) and will try and answer your query:

1. The last time I was colored (black) was when cleaning the chimney. The soot and ash blew on my face.
2. We are more a mix of Europeans and Middle Eastern creeds.
3. My Welsh is not so good, but my Irish is improving - the truth is
the national language is Turkish and the alphabet is the same as in English apart from Q,X,Y,Z -
4. Last but not least: " What are they ?" Well, what can I say? You definitely cannot have us for dinner at thanksgiving as turkey with rice. The reason why appr. 15-20 years ago the prime minister then wanted Turkey pronounced or spelled as Türkiye.

Turks are natives of Turkey, a country situated between Europe & Asia. They're more Middle Eastern than white, so they have a darker complexion. Their predominant religion is Islam. Their government, as I understand, is a democracy & has been a strong ally of the US. BTW, Turks speak mostly Turkish, not Welsh. Follow the link below to learn more.

We are handsome. That's true.
We are not from Middle East. But we had Middle East territorities like Eastern Europe and Northern Africa in the history. That's why someone confuses Arabs and Turks. You can find some buildings like bridges in these territorities which were built by Turks.
All these was in the history. We have been ruled by democratic and laic republic since 1920's.
We speak Turkish not Arabic.

Turkish are not middle asian people turkish came from center asia and speaking Turkish. Turkish language has no any arabic dialect. Most similar languages to Turkish is Korean language
Turkish have different culture than arabian and other middle asian people

Actually Turk name comes from chinese language Chinese said Turk who were migrant peoples in center asia. Turks have different race groups Kazakhs,Uighurs, Uzbeks,Kirghiz, Turkmenian, Oghuz(Oğuz) etc. Turkish is a custom name who speaking Turkic languages

Oghuzs (western Turkish) are Turkish of Turkey and Azerbaijani peoples but founder of modern Turkey (Atatürk) prefered Turkish and Turkey instead of Oghuz

Oghuz lived center asia, persia, india and finally came to Turkey(anatolia) at 1071 so then Turkish people have great mixed culture (Turkish, Indian, Persian, Greek etc )

Oghuz were great soldiers and good at govern so then Oghuz have amazing history (Asian and European Hun empires, Great and Anatolian Seljuk empires, Ottoman empire) and some oghuz commanders fighted for different countries in history and took under control these countries for example first country which use Turkey(Türkiye) founded in Egypt (Türkiye of Memluks)

Turkish are decent normal people, like most others.

Apart from having their own language and customs, they are very respectful and intelligent people.

Most are white...they can be blonde, redhead, or brunette, with many of them being of dark brown hair and eyes, with an olive skin tone.

Many turkish men are very handsome with gorgeous eyes.

Just take a look at Tarkan, a famous turkish singer who is very well known in Europe/Asia/Middle east.
