That's what I've learned. When they do that it helps thier economy so much. At the same time when us dollars are earned here but not spent here it helps our economy collapse. Mexico is not the only one doing that to us. Every time we buy something made in China it helps our economy collapse too because The chinese are not spending the money on our or even their economy they hold onto it as us treasury notes and that helps corrupt our economy. As long as there is a balance between two countries money flows than it is good but when one country is doing all the sucking and not giving anything back it is bad. Very bad. It causes inflation here.

I don't think it would totally collapse, the mexican people are a pretty resilient. It would however force them into a sink or swim mentality. It would add needed value to the peso (every American dollar that goes into mexico de-values the peso). The remittances from America is one of the reasons their country is in such a financial shambles. You can't build a country by giving away your labor force and so heavily incorporating another nations currency into your economic base.

At first glance, one would think their economy would be poorer. However, if Mexicans were not able to send money back from the US to Mexico, they would be forced to work in Mexico, improving Mexican infrastructure. Given how industrious most immigrants are, Mexico could actually be stronger, if Mexicans were not allowed to emigrate.

we are able to make it unlawful, yet will the government rather do something approximately it? greater efficient decision could be to tax the heck out of it - you may cord money to persons in Mexico, yet without evidence of being interior the U. S. legally, you may desire to pay a 60% tax - so which you deliver $a hundred yet your friends purely get $40 or so...

Probably not. It's a greed thing, they're making money off the deal so they won't do anything that looks like economic self-sufficiency until the easy money from the US runs out....

Maybe their government would be forced to give universal education and decent opportunities, if the safety valve of illegal immigration weren't there.

Whose nose? It Might not collapse but it might force needed reforms in their chaotic political non-system. Let that force be with them.

No they would have to change their ways. And be a little more less dependent--that would be a good thing. We are not helping them achieve that by helping them so much. It is a pity.

Probably and that is why the Mexican government encourages them to immigrate to the USA.
