It depends on the individual. In my country, Muslims who work as cashiers at supermarkets do handle pork when they scan the price. They sometimes double bag it though.

I wouldnt think so, but one time I acidently fed my Muslim friend pinweels deep fried in pork fat. She didnt realize, then I remembered after she ate them, and so I wispered um I cooked those in pork fat IM SO SORRY lol. Fortuntly her and the husband were ok and didnt get mad or offended, it was a honest mistake.

We see lots of muslims working at 7/11 where they sell
pork products...

they can and probably do.
when one has a family to support.
i work in a meat factory.
we have muslims and hindus working there.
the islamic meat products we make
go to a lab to be checked for the presense of pork.
every now and then the test comes back positive
and cannot be called halal.
surely the lab ends up being sanitized.

I would say no, but in desperate situations when the family needs to be feed and a roof put over heads...then practicality might win out over theology and the fine points of religion.

I wouldn't work at a place that deals with pork, alcohol, pornography etc.

no the dark man is wrong.
as far as i know, working with pork or alcohol etc. is totally forbidden, especially selling it to others!
