I guess i phrased this wrong -- can anyone translate the word "fairy tale" in other languages?

In german fairy tale = Märchen
Folk tale = Volksmärchen
fable = Fabel

In Polish:
"fairy tale" = "bajka" or "baÅÅ"
"folk tale" = "przypowieÅÄ ludowa" ("ludowa" is "folk" - the order of words in Polish is sometimes different from the English one)
"fable" = "bajka" or "legenda"

folk tale=fable=μÏθοÏ, ÏαÏαμÏθι(mithos, paramithi)

Fairy Tale in German is 'das Märchen' or 'das Maerchen' both are correct, the second is the spelling without a German keyboard.
