This guy I like recently ask if I was seeing this guy we both work with. I explained that I had been but I am not now. Since then he has started talking to me (just about random stuff on our breaks). Does this mean he likes me?

To me it sounds as though he does have some interest in you. He was checking to see if you were someone else so that he wasn't stepping on any toes (and mostly to make sure he wouldn't be rejected right off the bat.) If the random chats at break have increased from the previous amounts of conversation then that is another signal that points toward his interest in you.

What with me being a guy I would ask that question 2 find out if you where in a steady relationship and then find out if you fancied a one nighter and also to make sure a guy built like king Kong is not gonna suddenly appear and kick my butt all around the place

wake up!!! ofcourse he's interested. but if i were you i would watch out, who's to say that they dont hang out, he might only be trying to talk to you because he heard all about it from the guy that you BOTH work with, did you ever think about that? and do you really want to keep dating your co workers like that? People might start talking.....

girl this boy is feeling you i think hes trying to find out if you like him.start flirting with him and see if theres more to the nice talk during your breaks.or just ask if hes free sometime and go out on a date.

He definitely likes you, but still watch for the signs. Let him ask you out first. Since he is talking to you, he is not that shy. One of this days he may ask you out.Don't be surprised.

It is not necessary that he likes you.
Two possibilities
1) he is interested in knowing your availability. ( For flings or for real )
2) company gossip. He wants to know how did you and the other guy is doing.
It depends what kind of guy he is. And how you two are.
